This about sums it up. And completely voids your premise. ML is statistics. But not as we knew it. It’s the next level of statistics. I don’t see any problem with that. Plus, ML is not A.I. It’s just a set of (mainly statistical, though highly functional) tools that are used for classification. Period. A.I is so much more.
